Welcome to Part IV of the book! In the following chapter(s), we will discuss how the theoretical considerations from Part I can be applied to specific technologies. This means each chapter considers how the particular characteristics of a given technology manifest themselves in each stage of the life cycle covered in Part II, as well as in the cross-cutting issues from Part III.
